Bactdet D 05

Bactdet D 05 is the first stage of MGC’s Mould Treatment Professional System.  This solution is for cleaning and sterilising the contaminated surfaces to kill and remove the mould growth and prevent the spores spreading to other parts of the property.  Wash down infected surfaces with Bactdet D 05, diluted at 1:4 with warm water using a brush, cloth or sponge.  Extend treatment in all directions beyond all visible signs of infection.  Coverage must not exceed 10 square metres per diluted litre.  Allow surfaces to dry before proceeding to Stage 2.

It is essential that wallpapered surfaces are NOT stripped until washed down with Bactdet D 05.  Bag up stripped wallpaper, seal and remove from the property immediately, then wash infected area again with a clean solution of Bactdet D 05.

Halophane Bonding Solution is the second stage of MGC’s Mould Treatment Professional System and the most important part of the treatment.  Halophane Bonding Solution penetrates into the substrate and kills the roots of the mould, hyphae and forms a permanent barrier which prevents them from regerminating.  Apply by brush one neat coat of the material extending the treatment at least one metre beyond visible signs of infection in all directions and allow to dry.  Coverage must not exceed 10 square metres per litre.  DO NOT DILUTE.  Brush Halophane Bonding Solution will in for maximum penetration.  Pay special attention to corners and junctions and areas of heavy contamination. Allow to dry before decorating.
